Our offices are closed from Saturday 1st August until 9 am Monday 10th August. We will respond to all emails on info@pooltablesonline.co.uk within 24 hours. If your query is urgent, please leave a message on 0345 226 5758, and we will call you back as soon as possible.
Please be aware that we will also not be sending out any accessory orders or having any collections from 2 pm Friday, 31st July, until Monday, 10th August, as we are doing a belated year-end stocktake and some warehouse changes.
When we receive your pool table order, a chain of events occurs, which I will explain in detail, but first, some background.
Most UK-style slate bed pool tables are manufactured in the UK. There are only four volume manufacturers in the UK, and all are based in the North West and within 30 miles of our offices.
We are distributors for them all and have a close relationship with each one. We have the added advantage of nipping around and collecting even one table when it is ready, which speeds up delivery to you, the customer.
All four companies are small—to medium-sized enterprises that work largely to their order book rather than carrying stock. Some batch produce a particular model every few weeks, while others have mixed table production lines.
Recovering your pool table can transform its appearance and enhance its performance. A worn or torn baize often provides an inconsistent ball roll and a slow game. A poor-quality cloth will spoil the appearance of a table and make it look tired and dated.
We often get asked how frequently the pool table cloth needs changing. This, of course, depends on how much you play the table. In UK pubs and clubs, pool tables are usually recovered annually. These tables are subject to lots of play and abuse. If you look after the baize on your home table, we recommend re-clothing every 3-4 years as a rough guide.
Once you have decided what size pool table you require and which room it is going into, the next stage is to be sure that it will physically go into that room
.
This is particularly important if it is going upstairs or into a basement, but we will come to that shortly.
Most installations are on the ground floor, and it is very rare that we fail to get a table into a ground-floor situation. Our success rate in ground-floor installations is a testament to our expertise and commitment to customer satisfaction. See our section here for details on how to install a pool table.
Here are some recent installation images of the UK's best-selling pool table, the Supreme Winner. This model is a firm favourite with pool players and is the table chosen for the IPA pool tour.
These photos, taken by our fitting team, are not of professional quality, but they will hopefully help you choose the model.
We aim to update this section frequently. If there are any colour combinations not shown on this page, please contact us, as we may have some images we can send you.
