Snooker Wheelchair Championship to be held in Sheffield.

Snooker News - Here at Pool Tables Online we are keen followers of the British Wheelchair pool tour (BWPPA). Having supported the BWPPA tour in previous years in conjunction with Simonis Billiard cloth we are delighted to inform you of the 2013 Snooker Wheelchair Snooker Championship.

The Snooker tournament will be held in April in the world’s most famous Snooker city

The Snooker championship is being held at The Green Room on four full-size Riley Aristocrat snooker tables. Each game will be best of five frames, with the final best of seven frames.

The game of pool and snooker is growing increasingly popular with disabled players and is undoubtedly a growing sport. It would be nice to see such an event in the Paralympics one day as it is a great spectator sport and provides excellent skills.

Hopefully more tournaments such as this one will help to raise the awareness and profile of the sport
